Every song begins with a message.
I start by writing English lyrics about something I personally connect with—an experience, challenge, belief, or idea that I feel is worth exploring through music – sometimes even something I learned in Torah or Tanach. Once the theme is established, I search for relevant verses from Tanach and traditional Jewish sources that deepen the message and connect it to timeless truths.
After developing the lyrics and sources, I create a basic melody and overall musical direction. Sometimes an existing song captures the emotional tone or musical feel I’m trying to achieve. When that happens, I may draw inspiration from elements of that song, incorporating similar musical ideas, patterns, riffs, or stylistic influences while creating something new that serves the message I want to convey. I then provide the lyrics, melody, and detailed production guidance to AI-powered music tools, which help transform the concept into a complete arrangement.
The process doesn’t end there. Each song is carefully reviewed, edited, refined, and sometimes rewritten multiple times. Lyrics may be adjusted, musical elements reworked, and production choices revisited until the final result reflects both the original vision and the message I hope to share.
Album artwork follows a similar process. I begin with a detailed concept describing the symbolism, mood, colors, and imagery I want to convey. AI is used to render the artwork from those specifications, after which I edit and refine the image until it accurately represents the themes and spirit of the music.
While AI assists in the production and rendering process, the ideas, themes, lyrics, sources, creative direction, and final approval remain my own.
