*Shir la'ma'alot.*

[A Song of Ascents.]

אֶשָּׂא עֵינַי אֶל־הֶהָרִים
מֵאַיִן יָבֹא עֶזְרִי¹

*Essa einai el heharim, mei'ayin yavo ezri.*

[I lift my eyes to the mountains; from where will my help come?]

עֶזְרִי מֵעִם ה׳
עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ¹

*Ezri mei'im Hashem, oseh shamayim va'aretz.*

[My help comes from Hashem, Maker of heaven and earth.]

אַל־יִתֵּן לַמּוֹט רַגְלֶךָ
אַל־יָנוּם שֹׁמְרֶךָ¹

*Al yitein lamot raglecha, al yanum shomrecha.*

[He will not let your foot falter; your Guardian will not slumber.]

*Hinei lo yanum v'lo yishan, Shomer Yisrael.*

[Behold, the Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.]

ה׳ שֹׁמְרֶךָ
ה׳ צִלְּךָ עַל־יַד יְמִינֶךָ¹

*Hashem shomrecha, Hashem tzilcha al yad yeminecha.*

[Hashem is your Guardian; Hashem is your shade at your right hand.]

יוֹמָם הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לֹא־יַכֶּכָּה
וְיָרֵחַ בַּלָּיְלָה¹

*Yomam hashemesh lo yakekah, v'yarei'ach balaylah.*

[By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night.]

ה׳ יִשְׁמָרְךָ מִכָּל־רָע
יִשְׁמֹר אֶת־נַפְשֶׁךָ¹

*Hashem yishmarcha mikol ra, yishmor et nafshecha.*

[Hashem will guard you from all evil; He will guard your soul.]

ה׳ יִשְׁמָר־צֵאתְךָ וּבוֹאֶךָ
מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם׃¹

*Hashem yishmor tzeitcha uvo'echa, mei'atah v'ad olam.*

[Hashem will guard your going out and your coming in, from now and forever.]
